- Answer Yes, that is what i did myself. You just take off a panel on the system and the disc drive clicks into place.

- Answer Here’s what it means: • CFI = Sony’s internal code for PlayStation 5 hardware • The first digits after that (like 1000, 2000, 7000, etc.) = the hardware revision / generation • The last digits + letter (like A, B, etc.) = region + disc vs digital version Examples: • CFI-1000A / 1000B → original PS5 (disc / digital) • CFI-1100 / 1200 series → revised original model • CFI-2000 series → PS5 Slim • CFI-7000+ series → PS5 Pro line (newer generation)

- Answer Sadly no, the PS5 Pro does not have a version that comes with a disc drive, however there is a disc drive version of the PS5. Just not the pro.

- Answer I purchased mine Dec 2025 and its a 7019 - production date Dec 2024. I think there’s probably gonna be a lot of old stock I don’t know if there’s any indication on the box, but if not then only way to know for sure is if you go in person and they let you look in the box
