- Answer I have both, right now, I don't see a difference. From a super nerd point of view, they are smaller, tend to draw less power and can be made a little faster (keeping the shelves stocked) and maybe a design flaw that we didn't notice to begin with. All PlayStations have an original and a slim, it was going to happen. The ONLY thing I see that is different is the new slim one have 2 USB-C (on the front) and 2 USB-B (on the back) on the system. The original had, 1 USB-C and 3 USB-B. So, like I said not much.

- Answer The one I bought is the disc version, you have the option to play both, disc games or digital with it. The digital version and do the same if you buy the disc compartment separately later one and attach it.

- Answer No, there's a slot specifically for an extra ssd so you can have both at the same time. You can set which one games automatically get downloaded onto in the system settings.

- Answer well saving on a external drive is possible but you cant run the games directly through the external drive!! for PlayStation 5 it is mandatory to use the ssd for games, what you can do is save the games space on the external drive and when you want to play them switch them to the internal ssd to play and when you finish switch it back thast how you can save space
