When you purchase an Open Box item from Best Buy you are buying something that someone bought new, took the code, parts, replaced things on their old unit, and returned it for 100% refund. Best Buy discounts it, doesn't care if it is even working and selling it to the next customer. When you return it, they will list it again in Good condition. Hope that makes sense.
