Q: QuestionWhat is the scanner bed size? What file formats does it output in? What OCR software does it use? What Languages does the OCR support? Will it support multiple languages on the same document page scanned, like text in English, Hebrew, and Aramaic?

• A:Answer Hi, the scanner bed size is 8.5" x 11.69", A4/ Letter Size. The scanner uses Abbyy Finereader Sprint but it will not support multiple languages on the same page.

• A:Answer THe OpticBook 3800L scanner should work for your application. This scanner uses a CCD sensor that has a depth of field that should accommodate the card thickness you describe. Most likely, the other scanners you have tried use a technology called CIS. With a CIS scanner, the item being scanned needs to be in contact with the glass or else it's out of focus. • A:Answer The optical resolution of the scanner is 1200 dpi. But if you are scanning books, we recommend keeping the resolution down to 200 - 300 dpi to keep the file size manageable.
