“How is the scanned image file sent to the computer? Is it sent directly to the computer via the USB cable? Or is the image stored on an SD card which can be removed and then placed into the computer slot for transfer?”

I have it attached to my computer with a USB cable, The attached image shows the various ways it allows you to save the document.

Please try again later.You download the Epson ScanSmart Software to your computer and you can scan your documents to your computer wirelessly or by using the supplied USB cable. You do have the option to scan directly onto a USB Flash Drive if you chose to and then remove the USB Flash Drive from the back of the ES-580W and store it or down load the USB Flash Drive to your computer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The plutek has to be plugged into the computer. There are no card slots. The program is on the computer, & the device has no screen to see otherwise.
