One of the best values in memory is PNY. I generally use PNY for my systems as it has always worked in my computers. I have never had a compatibility issue.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The package comes with two 8 GB memory DDR3L (L for low voltage, 1.25 V). The specifications are correct for your laptop. HP 640 G1 has only two slots so the maximum physical memory is 16 GB. Make sure you currently have less than 16 GB of memory before purchase. I am guessing you have either 2 x 2 GB = 4 GB or 2 x 4 GB = 8 GB of physical memory. Good luck my friend.
