Compatable w Dell Alienware 17? null

I had this PNY in a Alienware - Aurora Desktop - Intel Core i7 - 8GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 - 1TB Hard Drive - Epic silver I had to return it because the pc kept shutting down and flagged the memory as bad. I tried two different sets of sticks. Same results. The PC was new out of the box. Either the memory's fault or PC. they both get a -1.

This particular memory is DDR-4 I don't believe they are compatible.
