The processor doesn't really come into play when selecting RAM. Though, if the processor is slow enough the data rate may bottleneck. But to be honest, I'm not sure about that. Check your laptops current RAM. It should be DDR#. The new RAM should match the number of the old RAM. You can get that info by searching for the specifications of your laptop. It will tell you the type of RAM used and how much you can upgrade it. Also DDR#L is low voltage RAM. The package of the new RAM may not specifically say low voltage, so make sure that if your device takes DDR#L that the new RAM uses 1.35 volts.
