This memory will not work as the voltage is different. It is always recommended to try to purchase memory that matches the specification outlined my Apple only. PNY Brand Champion
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. Always check the manufacturer's (especially CrApple) specification charts. It's never a good idea to mix/match RAM, nor is it a good idea to put RAM into a motherboard that doesn't support it. Even if your machine allows mixing and matching RAM, it will default to the lower clock speed automatically. This defeats the purpose of spending so much on that memory speed.

They will be able to give you a definite answer. Geek squad is an AASP, but make sure a technician tells you what you need to know, not just a software guy. Macs often times are incompatible with third party hardware, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. I've talked to customers who have perfectly good Macs that crash due to RAM that might seem good for the Mac, but is simply unsupported.
