If you want to upgrade to 16 i suggest getting two matching 8gb sticks for best performance.

Look up your currently installed RAM for size and speed. Buy RAM accordingly. Short Answer: Find out what your motherboard supports. Buy desired amount of RAM while considering the fact you will be tossing out whatever is on your motherboard now, so as to not cause conflicting issues with anything else.
