A:AnswerNo. The HP Stream laptop is basically a Windows 10 equivalent to a Chromebook. You get a locked down system where everything is soldered onto the mainboard and there are no possible upgrade paths which is why it is at a significantly lower price point. I looked at the upgrade advisor from another memory manufacturer and they did not list any available RAM or hard drive upgrades available for this model.
A:Answerbest thing for you to do run a scan using crucial.com memory scanner once you find out what your memory speed is and how much memory it takes to max it out.

A:Answeryes, this product will work in your laptop. you will only be able to get 12 gigs with the addition of this memory because even though you have two memory slots both are filled with 4gb sticks instead of one 8gb stick you will have to remove one stick to add this memory. What I would suggest would be purchasing two 8gb sticks of memory and having the manufacturer recommended maximum amount of memory which is 16gb. I have linked a 16gb kit that I believe would be the best setup for you below.
A:AnswerThe way to find out if it will work on your lap top is to take the cover off where your memory is and it should tell you in there what type of memory you need
A:AnswerYes that is correct. From what I have researched, the Toshiba Satellite C855D accepts DDR3-type RAM.
Here is a link where I got this information, however I can't guarantee the site's integrity.
