Connect it to your PC or laptop USB port. Wait for your computer to read to drive. Once it completed its update on the drive. Go to my computer or computer from your start button and you will be able to see your drive appear you could be the letter a B a C or D or F. Click in use.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Most laptops have at least 2 or three ports that have the usb symbol ( looks like a 3 pronged trident). The usb plugs into these spots and will only go in one way. Don't wiggle it push straight in. It requires very little pressure when lined up correctly. If trouble flip/reverse the usb try again.

Please try again later.If your laptop has a USB 2.0 or 3.0 port this should fit just fine, you may need to turn it upside down as they do have an up and down side (you can look at the end and see that they need to be flipped to fit into your laptop). Your laptop may have some structure/case that makes it hard to fit certain thumbdrives into them but I haven't had a problem with these on any laptops I've tried. Additionally, some some laptops (Dell Lattitude for example) had a slot that works for eSATA or USB and may be a little harder to fit the drive into but those should work too.
