• A:Answer It depends on the resolution (Mega Pixels) of the photos and the file format (e.g JPEG) used to store them. These factors determine the file size for each picture. Low resolution photos (e.g. 4 MP stored as compressed JPEG) are around 1.2 MB in size. High resolution photos (e.g. 12 MP stored in uncompressed raw format) can be 36 MB in size. So, a 128 GB drive could store 90,000 low resolution photos or 3,000 high resolution photos

• A:Answer Yes - it can backup important files from your hard drive. I wouldn't say it can backup the whole hard drive, but it can hold all your important documents, pictures, video, and music. I bought one and used it for backing up important files on my hard drive and my hard drive crashed 2 weeks later. It was easy to put the files on the new drive - really a life saver. You can also use a program from Microsoft to help setup your backup files. It is called SyncToy, is free, and you just download it.

• A:Answer I believe that that the difference is the data transfer and access rate. The Attache 4 is fast than the 3. I just don't know by how much. I have the 4 and I am very pleased with it. It plays back all media files quickly and smoothly. Access to files through your computer programs is also very fast. Almost as fast as the access to the computers own Hard Drive. lastly, data transfer is fast as well both recording and transmitting.

• A:Answer The quality of your photos is not affected by the storage device but by the settings used when the photo is taken or saved. If you save with high quality settings, then the file size for each photo will be larger and fewer photos will fit on the storage device. Some drives are rated for faster data transfer, which can help if you are moving a lot of data files (photos) onto the storage drive at one time. Some memory cards have faster data transfer rates as well and this can be helpful if you are recording videos.
