As long as you are using less space in your current drive than in the new drive, it can be replaced. For example if you buy a 240gb ssd you would have to only be using about 220gb or less on your current drive. You would also need an adapter to transfer and clone your old drive. I would recommend something that comes with cloning software. Sometimes the ssds don't come with anything. As far as boot up time ssd's are theoretically 5 times faster than standard drives. I would say boot up time should easily be cut in half if not more. Cloning the full disk and all partitions will include Windows and everything on your old drive. Good luck!!!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Inside the package they have a license key to copy the image of your current ssd to the new ssd. I recommend downloading Windows 10 onto a USB drive and start with a fresh build. This will also delete any bloatware that Lenovo has installed on your computer. Please download driver onto another flash drive in case Windows 10 doesn't have those drivers. This drive will make bootup times faster.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If the hard drive is removable then yes you can. There will be a significant difference in the performance of your machine. You would just need to clone the drive before you install there are plenty of tutorial videos on you tube on how to do so. Hope this helps.
