• I have an HP Elite book and a desktop HP Pavillion as well as a Compaq lap top and they all work great with SS Drives. Just remember to clone the drive. Find the name of the Hard Drive in your Pavillion and search for a free clone download. Western Digital offers a good free cloning software. Also Seagate. You must use their cloning software if you want it free. All you want to do is clone what you have to a new SS drive. That is what I have done and also made an extra for each. I had a WD 1T hard drive but only had about 140 gig used. I cloned it to a 240 gig PNY and also a Kingston using the WD software....because the hard drive was a Western D. I hope I answered your question. Go for it you will be happy you did.....its like a new lap top.
