- Answer Yes, you can watch movies from it. Although, the device’s application for Apple, the iXpand Drive App, has a huge limitation. On an iPad the app has a 50 file transfer limitation. This is a big shortcoming in real world applications. This limitation does not pertain to using the device on Windows, only when using the app on Apple. I hope Sandisk resolves this issue in the near future, but until then it should be listed on the packaging or in the documentation that comes with the device. - Answer No. It will not transfer Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Keynote, Pages, Numbers etc. from the mobile device. It is for photos and contacts only. Pretty much worthless if you use iPad or iPhone for presentations and want to save them to the Duo Link. I wasted my $$ on this one. Others, such as the SanDIsk Mini, will transfer any kind of file. I would not recommend the PNY Duo Link.
