I would not use this brand flash drive to save my files.

A flash drive is only a place to store files (documents, pictures, etc.) Its not a good place for installing programs unless you plan on having it plugged in all of the time in which case I would recommend an external hard drive.

The real issue sounds like you need a bigger internal hard drive or solid state drive in your computer though and the flash drive will only be a temporary fix. If you have important data it should always be in two places.
