“What is the width of this particular model (in inches or cm)? I can't seem to find this information anywhere, not even PNY's own site. The best I could find is that it takes up "2.5 slots", but I need something more specific than that.”

Sad that Best Buy would not have that information but I would suggest you go to manufacturer's site they will have expanded specs.
