• U can charge it through your data cable

• You need to use your iPad or iPhone charging chord. Insert the sub portion into the slot of your charger and the iPad/phone adapter into you apple product. The apple product will register charging. I buy extra sub to apple product chords so I don't switch out from the normal plug in charger.

• Plug in your charger cord to any of the usb ports & plug your phone into the other end. It'll start charging immediately.
