The eero PoE Gateway will provided access to the internet to anything that is hardwired into it via an ethernet cable, including the XT8. However the eero wifi network (assuming you have additional eero to make a wifi network, the PoE Gateway doesn't have wifi) and the XT8 wifi network would be separate, even if you had the same name/password on them. An eero cannot wirelessly extend an XT8's wifi network.
