The Switch 2 edition will have better graphics and performance, but can only be played on a Switch 2. You can also buy the Switch 1 edition and buy an upgrade pack later down the line

The switch 2 version will play on original switch (stated on the box like the new rune factory), so I find it a better deal as if you do get a switch 2 you will not have to pay for the upgrade as if you bought this version you will of you want better graphics for switch 2.
