The H7 heart rate sensor will indeed allow you to see heart rate on a mobile device like a phone or tablet. There are a multitude of applications available that have the ability to record and interpret heart rate information. Note however that the device needs to be in relative close proximity to the person wearing the strap/sensor combo.
