Regular 600 film has a battery in the film packet that powers the camera. I-Type film doesn't have a battery in the film pack as new Polaroid OneStep cameras have an internal battery that powers the camera. Basically the Polaroid OneStep cameras can use both i-Type and 600 film, while older cameras can only use 600 film.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.i-Type film doesn't have an integrated power source in the cassette holding the film, which is why it is only compatible with Polaroid cameras that have batteries/chargeable power source. 600 "classic film" tends to be more expensive due to the power source included in the cassette, but would work fine in most modern Polaroid cameras that also handles i-Type.
