• Yes it should work fine as long as your TV has optical out.

• Yes it should, any sound going into the T.V. will be routed out through the optical cable to the soundbar. the HDMI sends video and sound signal into your T.V. so it should be no problem

• I just got this system and it works for me with a PS4; running sound to the TV through HDMI still produces sound from the sound bar and sub through the included optical cord
