QuestionI don't have 3 ft of room on my left speaker. Would it sound alright?

- Answer Yes, the 3' recommendation is the ideal environment for the SDA technology. However, the L800 SDA technology has been highly effective in many odd-shaped rooms. As with most speakers, speaker placement and room acoustics will significantly affect the overall sound quality of the L800 speakers. QuestionThis item is showing as not available but I have contacted Polk and they stated that I need to talk to a manager to possibly place an order. But Best Buy says this is not a specialty item. When will it be available again.

- Answer Hi python, Great question. Yes - there is a right speaker. With the L800 they need to be ordered accordingly (one left speaker and one right speaker) if you wish for the L800 pair to perform at it's best.

QuestionI see in a previous post that you would need to order "accordingly." what is the difference? I do not see any specs that differ from the left and the right. Is this some kind of "gimmick" to get the consumer to purchase one of each?

- Answer Hello, It is essential to order a left L800 and a right L800 when ordering a pair. If two left (or two right) speakers are ordered, the performance will be compromised because the left speaker operates differently from the right speaker. This is deliberate in order to achieve what it is the L800 SDA technology is designed to do.
