It does have a display. It shows when any button is pressed. You may have gotten a bad one. Hopefully you can bring back to exchange it. Mine works great. Good Luck.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes... it does have a small LED display on the front of the main unit that provides information when prompted. It is automatically activated when the volume is changed or the "i" button is pressed on the remote. If your remote is not working, make sure the batteries are inserted correctly and are making good contact. If they are inserted correctly, try a fresh set of batteries. If all else fails, you either have a bad remote, or the communication system between the remote and main unit is not working. If you're outside of the exchange window, contact Polk Audio. My unit works perfectly...

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. While there is no led lit while it is "on", changing volumes/inputs/etc will show a display in white letters inside the speaker grill (visible easily from the front).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it has a white LED visible from the front. Sounds like you got a defective model.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Polk main speaker does have a visible LED. It should display On or Off when you press the Polk remote power button. If it doesn't I would try replacing the remote batteries but otherwise it sounds like the unit might be defective. Also when you say unit responds to your TV remote, that should also trigger the Polk display. Maybe you should try to contact Polk directly.
