“Every morning I have to physically turn on the sound bar then I can control the volume with the remote. I can't just control it with the remote until I turn it on. Don't think it is supposed to work like that. The wireless woofer doesn't work at all.”

I had a similar problem. Several possible suggestions: Move the sub at least 10 feet away from the Soundbar. For some reason that seems to help connect the sub with the bar. Make sure the Soundbar and sub are actually paired with your TV remote. When pairing, make sure all audio functions are paired: On/Off, sound up, sound down, mute! Hope that helps.
