No. Many people will tell you to use the right or left side RCA input. I use a 2 into 1 RCA Y Splitter Cable. I think that's why my Subs play so clearly at any volume. So I recommend using a 2 into 1 RCA Splitter Cable. It will plug into both right and left side then plug into your Subwoofer Outputs on your Receiver. I use a Yamaha TSR 7850R Receiver that has 2 Subwoofer Outputs. It's a 7.2.2 Receiver. Hope this helps?

Yes, I have polk towers, center, and T15,s and subw. What sound for price, cant believe what it does for my big screen.
