What do you need to play music through the speakers? null

They're wired passive speakers. Requires and amplifier or receiver of some kind

I dont think so. I watch colors through my T15's and it works great.

I hooked these speakers to my Yamaha stereo receiver.

(1) Receiver, speaker cables, and speakers and listen to am-fm sound. (2) Receiver, dvd-player, speaker cables, and speakers can listen to: AM, FM, and CD-music.

A stereo recover/amplifier with your favorite music/movie playing through it. Just make sure it has a Rms rating equal to or larger then the speakers. They like power and can handle pushing the volume.

You need an amplifier and speaker wire. 16 gauge is sufficient for these.

They will hook to any kind of the receiver or stereo

Any stereo system capable of putting out a few watts or more. I have them hooked up to a 35 Watt per channel vintage Pioneer receiver and they are plenty loud! You could get by with much less I think.
