It definitely could. If your a stickler for the logo being sideways is the only downside. Speakers work fine as long as they are pointed at the person wanting to listen to them correctly. So horizontal/vertical not really the issue. Is it behind a table or obstructions getting between you and the speaker is more of an issue usually. Second issue, have you used the tech on your reciever to adjust the speaker correctly? Many modern recievers come with a microphone, use it, learn how to set the reciever up for optimal sound. Those two things will do more to correct a bad sounding speaker than orientation of the speaker. The rest is often such a small influence on sound quality that only extreme audiophile's will get all worked up about it. But for 95+% of us you will not be able to discern the performance change as long as the speaker is positioned correctly as in nothing between you and the speaker and your receiver is adjusted correctly. By the way, nice speaker for the money. I have this one in a bedroom. Don't get me wrong, I love my Definitive Technologies stuff in my Family and Living rooms but often you do not need thousands of dollars in speakers to have a decent sounding system.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can and the sound is not effected
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use 2 of these, both are vertical and haven't any issues at all.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes, no problem with mine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes! I've mounted mine on the wall vertically, and it gives such power its like a sound bar and speaker built in one. Great sound effects for movies and music. Your room is surrounded by awesome clear sound.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No really ... it's designed to lay flat ... the audio output is designed that way too.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The unit is a rectangular box that can be set vertically; it's sound profile aught to be less wide. An acoustic engineer, or the manufacturer, Polk, should be able to define the exact changes in sound if this center channel speaker is set vertically.
