Will this work with the otter box Pop case? null

As long as the popsocket piece of the case is the same size as the stand alone popsocket pieces, yes it should work!

I use it sometimes with my XR and it fits. However, occasionally it slips out of the vent and falls... does the same thing with my wife’s 8 too.

No, it won't hold the PopSocket well and doesn't sit flush with the holder.
