Yep. They work just fine on an otterbox. Got one on mine now.

I own the otterbox defender pro series (it is a rugged case) the pop socket would not adhere to it. I have always used the pop socket on my prior otterbox cases (original defender series) but no luck with using it on the pro series. Pop socket does include an extra disc with instructions if you have a glass back phone/case

I have a few and it appears you can use it on any case as long as there is enough flat surface area for the popsocket to attach/stick.

If it's on a flat surface, then yes. I wouldn't advise putting it on a raised surface (if there is anything raised on the otterbox case, just make sure you place it on a flat area).
