“when you're charging the remote is the light supposed to be green or red and how do you know when your remote is fully charged does it change a different color.”

When you put the controller on the base the light will be solid red while charging. When your controller is fully charged the light will turn solid green. If by chance,...the light is flickering,... the controller is not fully seated on the base. Try slightly wiggling the controller while it sits on the base untill you get a solid colored light.
