• You could leave them in the dock it senses full charge on remotes and then is on sleep mode so power is not constantly being pushed thru the devices

• Hello, you have the option take off the controller when it is fully charged. To charge, simply click controller down on the Charging Station and view LED light bars indicating charge level. When fully charged, click up to store.

• Is recommendable to take it off after full charge so your battery last longer and has less change to go bad overcharging.
