• Yes it should detect unless there is something wrong with your usb ports. Your pc should automatically detect a connected USB cable and proceed to installing it on the drive so it can recognize the device or cable that is plugged into your computer. if not you may have to go to Microsoft and download a drivers for usb update or so.
