This can be used on exterior walls with insulation as long as your wall does not have the horizontal boards to prevent a fire from spreading within the wall. Some homes have this. Insulation only makes it slightly tricky trying to fish the cords behind the wall. But can be done. I used a fiberglass fishing rod to pull the cord through The horizontal boards makes it virtually impossible to fish the cord down through the wall. CP

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Could be used in exterior walls, but it will be harder to run the cables in the wall with the insulation in place. There are videos on the web that will show you how to do this. I encountered them while I was considering how to use this product. The procedure involves using a tool that you attach the cables to, and then fishing the wires down through the upper hole.
