“Hoping for answer. The powerXL in Dec was heavier, basket thicker, lid was different. Now the same machine weighs about 4.5# less. lid is designed differently. coils are next to each now instead of stacked on top of each other. hope it holds up”

This particular unit has been the same since it was introduced to Best Buy. There may be another PowerXL product at Best Buy you are thinking about that was available with similar features.
