Get Borderlands it is a fun way to be introduced into the FPS world and you can play in couch co-op or online with friends and tackle many missions with awesome loot.

It's a great game if your into the whole time line conundrum and movie style game play. FPS good for a beginner would be Overwatch, and Titanfall to stay on track with the same sort of futuristic vibe.

I would suggest the Master Chief collection. Halo was the first game I played on the Xbox and the first 3 parts of Halo are my favorite on the platform till date. The game has easy controls, the enemies are forgiving, the game play and the music score is absolutely phenomenal. If you have the Xbox one X then you are in for a treat because this game got a ton of updates to make it look better and perform better on the Xbox one X. I am really looking forward to Halo 6 infinite hope it does not suck like Halo 5.

Beginner or not it can be enjoyable, but if you want more entry-level shooters to try then: the Halo Franchise, Titan Fall 2, Wolfenstein 1, Battlefield and Call of duty can get you started.
