NH You strike me as someone who does very thorough research. You may find it helpful to take a look at proform.com/treadmill-buyers-guide and scroll down to “Cushioning.” The ProForm 505 CST (Model #PFTL59420) has the Rebound Cushioning System. Built into the tracks, this system limits the impact on knees and joints, important for ongoing health for regular and serious runners. The belt is slightly smaller at 18”x55”. The ProForm Carbon T7 (Model #PFTL87720) uses the ISO Flex Cushioning System, which uses ProForm’s patented shock system to boost recovery by offering joint and muscle protection. The belt is larger at 20”x55”. A clear comparison of these two systems is hard to make as they both yield high-performance results. Both are high performance machines. We hope this answer helps.
