Andy The two hand-grip sensors built into the handlebars let you see your heart rate while you train. If you are grabbing onto these handlebars mid-workout, the sensor is booting up your heart rate monitor. We’re sorry this starts over your workout. To prevent this, hold the hand grip heart rate monitor with your palms resting against the contacts. Avoid moving your hands or gripping the contacts tightly. For the most accurate heart rate reading, hold the contacts for at least 15 seconds. Your machine is also compatible with Bluetooth Smart heart rate monitors if you prefer that instead.
