• My house is small (1400 Sq Ft). It fits in my very small family room off the kitchen. Also, it folds up when not in use.

• No it does not take up a lot of space. It folds up very easily and is quite compact when stored upright.

• Not too much, so it would work in a smaller house. I wouldnt recommend using in an apartment. Allow 6 to 12 inches on either side, measure the space you have, then compare that plus the extra inches with the demensions given on the ad.
