• No you do not need ifit to use it. You just have less features in the computer, but if you like to use a treadmill and watch anything on your tablet Or listen to your own music, then you don’t really care about ifit

• No, you can operate the treadmill in a “manual mode” and bypass all the IFIT operations. Works great!
