“Is this sturdy enough to use as a standalone umbrella without a table as long as I buy a base? I just want something to shade my pool chair.”

• I have mine stand alone. I do have to bungee it to something when it’s windy

• This umbrella can be used in an umbrella base, but don't waste your money. The umbrellas I ordered are not vented at the top. The slightest wind gust will blow the umbrella in the pool or a cross the yard breaking the umbrella. A Waste of money!
