“Hi, is this fire pit rust proof or rust resistant? My experience with the similar fire pits we have owned, that they rust after one or two cold seasons. Then they need to be disposed of. Nothing is noted about this on the description.”

Ours has not yet begun to rust, but metal exposed to fire eventually will rust unless it is stainless steel. I'm sure it will rust as time goes by, quicker if it is exposed to water more often.

Please try again later.No it is not rust proof, however with proper care such as keeping it covered to avoid rain and seasonally sand any rust spots and spray with high temp paint it’ll last much longer. Left to the elements any fire pit will be useless after a season or two.
