No the speaker needs to be plugged in to a receptacle.. so it needs power to operate...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, and you'd not want a 15" speaker to have wireless power, because the power draw to drive a 15" speaker against a LI, NiCa. NMHI battery would probably give you 15-60 minutes of playing time depending upon volume, and the speaker would no longer weigh 45#. At that point people would complain about how frequently they have to charge it. So if your intended use was for a wedding and reception, or a dance, or like my use case (a back yard background music system), having a internal battery would not last the entirety of your event. It is a 110/115v common household plug and the cord comes with it. If you need a wireless (except when charging) outdoor PA, keep looking, but if you want an amazing wired PA speaker, this is a whole lot of speaker for the money, and the BT works great (it does not auto reconnect between sessions, so you have to reselect it in your BT settings ever use).
