The more expensive package contains the Quell 2. I have the original Quell. The newer unit has the shape of a small cell phone and should fit easily in the sleeve. The unit I have is larger and a semi circular unit and requires a bit of effort to remove and replace. The Quell 2 apparently is smaller and more powerful. I have to recharge my unit about every 3 days. The new unit apparently adjusts its voltage when you change your leg position. Sometimes going from a standing or sitting position to laying down requires an adjustment one way or the other in voltage. If I had a chance to decide between the two units I would have gone for the more expensive. If you purchase the Quell device I recommend the sports electrode. I have tried both. The standard electrode gets very gooey and tends to fall apart after a few days. The sports electrode looks almost new after 2 weeks. On the second day of use I noticed a feeling of well-being. I acquired the Quell to obtain some relief from severe itching and pain from shingles. Now I don't go a day without my Quell. If you do purchase one unit or the other, I wish you a large measure of relief from your suffering. Ken
