The power adapter indicates “AC 100-240 V.” I charged my Quell in Myanmar which has 230 V electricity recently without any electrical converter required. However, importantly, a plug adapter IS required when using it in countries that have a different plug system (as does Myanmar).

We had to use a transformer when things had to be plugged in, such as, nightly when you have to recharge the device. I don’t think that would be a problem. Transformers come in all sizes - for very small things like the Quell to large ones for large appliances...
