While I am not 100% certain, I believe your assumption is correct. By making the purchase, I believe you are entitled to an additional 1 year subscription (i.e., the activation or key code is new). I've seen nothing to suggest or dictate when you have to use the code to activate the subscription. So holding onto that activation/key code should not be a problem. In my case, every year I purchased my new subscription when I see a good sale and usually several weeks ahead of when my old subscription is set to expire. And a few days before it was set to expire then I would add the new activation/key code. This may not provide the absolute certainty that you are looking for but I do believe the activation/key code will still be good when you want to use it in April or May 2021.

Please try again later.My understanding is that if you activate a new subscription during the last six months of your current subscription (using the same quicken account), the full term of the new subscription is added onto the end of the current subscription. I believe I saw this in quicken's FAQs.

If you purchase a retail version of Quicken (boxed/CD), you have 24 months to activate it, so yes, you can wait. 2. If you buy your renewal directly through Quicken or online/download, you can only renew during the 6 months prior to expiration and the renewal will extend your current membership for one year past your current expiration date. They will not allow multiple online renewals at one time. In other words, you can only renew for one year past your current expiration date.

It simply adds 12 months to whenever your current renewal/expiration date. I do this every year to make sure I'm "renewing" at a rate cheaper than their regular subscription price.
