• As long as the housing is in good shape, there is no reason this couldn't be mounted outside. Make sure you have a good wifi signal at the location you intend to install it.

• yes it can. you just need to purchase the outdoor enclosure box to be safe from water.

• Rachio makes a weather proof housing for these units so you can mount outside.
