Geri, we have two generations of controllers available; Generation 1 and Generation 2. To learn the differences, please see this community post: http://community.rachio.com/t/generation-2/2706?u=emil. Additionally, there is an 8 zone and 16 zone model for both generations of controllers. The 8 zone list price is $50 less than the 16 zone.
